허리케인 김치는 2010년대 초반부터 서울을 기반으로 국내 및 해외에서 퀴어 공연/예술 활동 및 인권 활동을 펼쳐온 드랙퀸입니다. 댄스, 립싱크, 라이브 보컬, 엠씨 등의 내용으로 공연에 참여할 뿐만 아니라 다양한 공연과 행사의 기획과 주최 또한 맡아 오고 있습니다. 2018년에는 퀴어 예술문화인권 단체이자 연례 행사인 서울드랙퍼레이드를 공동설립하였고, 포브스 아시아가 선정한 영향력있는 30세 이하의 30인의 예술인으로 선정되었습니다. 구체적인 공연 및 기획 내역은 아래의 목록에서 확인하실 수 있습니다.
Hurricane Kimchi is a Seoul-based Korean drag queen who has been active as a performer, event organiser, and activist, since the early 2010s. She performs as a singer, dancer, and MC, and she has organised and presented numerous shows and events in the LGBTQ+ scene and the art scene. In 2018, she co-founded an organisation/annual event called Seoul Drag Parade, and became a Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 Artist. You may see the list of her selected work below.
